I have no idea what kind of bird would live there. I'm pretty ignorant about wild critters.
Love that sky though! I love it when a front has blown through and cleaned the air and your vision is clear all the way to infinity. That dark blue sky is amazing.

The picture you took and not sure what it is appears to me to be a Praying Mantis oothecas (egg sack). I wasn't sure of the size of it in the picture but I think it is that. I enjoy your photos.
