During one of my walks this little butterfly landed on my right hand.  With my left hand, I took my iPhone out of my pocket, and tried to snap a few pics of him.  I assume he was drinking the salt from my skin.  It was a most amazing moment .....one I will treasure!

As we were traveling along in the car near Suffolk, Virgina - I looked up and saw Casper in the Clouds.  Do you remember Casper the Friendly Ghost?  Do you see Casper when you look at this cloud?

E.B. White is one of my FAVORITE authors!  His Charlotte's Web was the book that started my life-long LOVE of reading.   Did you know that the EB stands for Elwyn Brooks? I didn't - but I think that is a LOVELY name :) 

Simple Things and Great Pleasure

I have found that some of the simplest things have given me the most pleasure. They didn't cost me a lot of money either. They just worked on my senses. Did you ever pick very large blueberries after a summer rain Walk through a grove of cottonwoods, open like a park, and see the blue sky beyond the shimmering gold of the leaves? Pull on dry woolen socks after you've peeled off the wet ones? Come in out of the subzero and shiver yourself warm in front of a wood fire? The world is full of such things.

A Place to Watch the Sun Set

One of the most satisfying experiences I know is fully to appreciate an individual 
in the same way I appreciate a sunset. 
When I look at a sunset...I don't find myself saying, 'Soften the orange a litle more on the right hand corner, and put a bit more purple along the base, and use a little more pink in the cloud color...
 I don't try to control a sunset. 
I watch it with awe as it unfolds.

The morning before our winter storm (several years ago) 
 was sunny and gorgeous. 
 But that afternoon the clouds rolled in. 
 I saw this "saucer" like cloud and just had to pull out my iPhone and snap it! You can see a bit of the sunburst that I caught too. I think this type of cloud is called a Lenticular cloud - which you can read more about - HERE
