Reflection

Tomorrow is the big day. Brianna has surgery on her knee for the torn ACL. We have to be at the hospital at 6am. It will be a very long day. She is a bit nervous. I am more than a bit nervous. Not because I think anything will go wrong - I just hate to see my baby in pain. But I KNOW this surgery is for the best. Hopefully with rehab and hard work she will be close to 100% in 6 months - and ready to start college and the next new adventure in her life.
Last night she was honored at her school for her "Senior Night". The coach mentioned how easily it would have been for her to quit the team. But she didn't. Even though her "playing" season ended early - she still attended practice and went to the games, sat on the bench and cheered the others on. She is truly a wonderful person.
When I grow up - I want to be like her :)

The photo is beautiful but more importantly is everyone's wish for a great outcome on tomorrow's surgery. She is young, resilient, and will bounce back to be even sronger I'm sure.

I love this picture Kerri! God bless Brianna and keep her in the palm of HIs hand. May He guide the surgeons steady hands & anoint her with healing. She seems like a beautiful image of you. Rest in God's peace.

It's 8:30 now so I imagine your daughter is in surgery. My thoughts are with you both, Kerri. I can imagine the stress you must be feeling. Hopefully her knee will be well healed by next winter.

Sometimes you just have to admire these kids of ours!

Brianna is a superstar! It's really touching that she stayed on the team and shows that she knows how to be there for others. What an important skill and it will serve her well. I have a feeling that she will recover just as strong as ever.

That reflection shot is the closest thing to perfection I've seen all day. Great capture!
