Among the Thorns

I am amazed that these little guys can flit around and land on these thorny plants without getting pricked.
Every moment of life is so precious. Take a moment, slow down, and enjoy it.

What a wonderful day for you to be with your mom.

As far as the photo, what a cute little guy this is. Isn't it amazing that they can manage to light in between all those thorns!

I plan on taking you advise, Kerri. I'm so glad your Mom is doing better. That little bird is a keeper. I like the photo as a metaphor - even if life is sharp, remain soft.

I agree ... a very meaningful metaphor ... and how protected we are

Such a sweet little bird! So glad your mom is feeling better. Indeed we all have to learn to slow down a bit to stop and look at the little things.

Nice photo!I hope that little bird knows what it's doing with those sharp thorns! Youchie!

I like Barb's metaphor of staying soft when life is sharp... So glad your Mom is better and you were able to spend time with her.

My first thought was ouch! :)
It is amazing how they manage.

Glad to hear that your parents are doing well.
Good advice Kerri for us all to slow down and what a perfect time to really see the beauty around us.
Sunday Blessings!

I'm so glad to know that your mother is doing well. What a relief that must be. Chickadees are such gutsy little critters. THey ain't afraid of no thorns! ;)

Your title made me think about how among the thorns (your mom's illness last year), beauty arises (the new spring and her health). So glad she's doing so well Kerri, and that you all were blessed to have Sunday together.

So happy that your mom is so much better now and that you were able to go for a walk with her. The ice cream was a great bonus. :-)

What a difference a year can make. So glad for you and for your mom.

Yes, how do these little chickadees land on these branches and not get stuck?!

It certainly is a wonder how they can light on something like that seemingly effortlessly. Thanks for sharing about your mother. I bet you both treasured the day together and the ice cream shop. Diane

Thank-you for your beautiful pictures! You have amazing talent. I hope it's okay that I put a few of them in my blog today, I referenced you at the bottom. They so adequately expressed what I was trying to say. Let me know if you don't want them on there and I'll remove them. You sure have a way of capturing a moment - I wish I could do that!

Your photography is stellar.

My first visit, I'm off to check out your other blogs.

Though I do not know you or your Mom, I can appreciate what it is to feel better, and your happiness that it is so.

Thanks for the visit, the follow and the kind words. :))
