White-breasted Nuthatch In Flight

One of my all time favorite places for photographing birds is Bisset Park in Radford Virginia.
There is a paved trail that leads you beside the New River and allows for amazing photo opportunities.
The blue you see in the background of this photo is the sky reflected off of the river.
As you can see, it was definitely a blue sky day.

Every place is given its character by certain patterns of events that keep on happening there…The more living patterns there are in a place—a room, a building or a town—the more it comes to life as an entirety, the more it glows, the more it has that self-maintaining fire which is the quality without a name.

It's difficult to get clear pictures of birds in flight and especially when there are tree branches and other things in the way of getting a good focus! Good job!

Great flight picture. I can't imagine taking that many pictures. The big question is how many did you keep?

: )
It's always funny when you sit down in front of the computer and start uploading the photos and see how many you actually took.

Great shot!

I continue to be amazed at your knowledge of what birds are what species. I don't think I said that right but I'll bet you know what I mean.

Another great photo capture for you. Keep 'em coming!

What a capture/find!!! Were you on "continuous shooting" or did you just happen to click at the right moment? That blue is gorgeous!
