Using His Tail

I see woodpeckers using their tail this way - but this is the first time I've seen a Blue Jay use it like this.
Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it. ~Michael Jordon

  1. This must require such great balance and strength, yet this adorable blue jay seems unphased, like it's no sweat. He does this all the time.

  19. Those tail feathers must be a lot stronger and more versatile than they look. I saw a Starling doing this the other day, too. Sure makes them look funny. This is a cute shot. The Blue Jays keep stealing all of my peanuts.

  20. Birds amaze me.
    Animals do really.

    So does your blog.

At long last our little bit of suburbia is attracting birds and butterflies and it is the opening of a true life.
