When I awoke on that morning - the Bird Feeder Wreath was full of snow.
I shook the snow off and added some more bird treats.
This White breasted nuthatch was happy I did!

Great Pictures !!
Great shot of the Nuthatch, Jay and the snow.
Lovely shots. Glad you are doing ok in this storm!
Yup, we are getting some of your used weather now. Lots of wind and snow. I'll bet the birds are happy you are taking care of them.
I am so glad I found your spot. your photos are stunning! I don't have a good camera but I love birds. I had five cardinals in my tree yesterday and many more onmy back patio. I snapped pictures from inside through the window. I just had to capture the moment. It was like the gift of Christmas had visited me. Your photo of the cardinal is so perfectly clear and up close. All your photos are stunning. Thank you for sharing your talent and love for God's creation. Also, nice to see snow. We don't have snow in AR very often. :(
Came over from Rambles... I can see why Scriptor gave you an award. Beautiful pictures. Great close-ups. I'll be back!
Love the wreath feeder Kerri.
Looks like you were able to take some wonderful shots in the snow. The wreath image is incredible. The storm missed us in northern Vermont, which is too bad. Happy Holidays!
Oh, I LOVE this! I was taking bird pictures today, knowing full well they would never be as good as yours but I don't care! I had to take them through the glass windows and don't have the greatest zoom lens but still. I love your bird photos, Kerri.
Kerri, this shot of the nuthatch is terrific! Glad the storm gave you some good images.
Beautiful! you proved that winter can be a fun time to photo-shoot.
Lovely photo as always. The bird looks content on the wreath to have found a treat.
We had 14 inches in our yard... a friend a out by Fincastle has 19 1/2". Sure was a gorgeous snowfall.

Wonderful Kerri. It's definitely a winter wonderland where you live. Looks like you will be enjoying a white Christmas too!
Hopefully my birds can get a bit more to eat tomorrow. Poor things weren't keen on the blowing snow today.

Beautiful,especially the Nuthatch picture.

The first picture would make a great Christmas card.
We got 2 feet of snow from that storm. I'm glad we are leaving on our cruise tomorrow!! :-)
Some absolutely stunning images here glad I found your blog. Thank you.
Well, we got all the RAIN from it here. WOW... 13"! I can't imagine. Stay warm!
That second photo is spectacular!
Excellent photos Kerri! It's good seeing folks in the mid atlantic region enjoying a snowstorm. You were due for a whopper! Snowstorms like you received are taken for granted up here in Maine.

Birds of Egypt and the middle east
is a great help for me Identifying birds. the bright sunlight here does not help much throws different colours on the birds so the smaller birds are quite hard to Identify from a single shoot several times i have mistaken birds. but its all in the joy of birding get a better photo! like the Little green bee eater I could never get close enough for a good shot only to Find them using my telephone wire as a perch two days ago but of course as soon as the hear the slightest noise they are gone the latest of the birds are in there category.
your Question I have been bird watching since may 2009. and up to date I have 60 species captured on frame. the Avadavat. several of the birds where taken from one frame. these are smaller than the sparrow.
Those Nuthatches are so cute. I hope you are enjoying the snow. LOL It should make for a white Christmas. Have a blessed one.

Love the nuthatch in the wreath and that tree is gorgeous!
