I'm glad your Mom is still with you this year. Your family has been through enough stress, that's for sure. Here's hoping she keeps doing well for as long as possible.

Kerri...It appears to be a Calico Pennant.
We only get the big blue ones or the smaller red ones. And, I'm so glad your Mom is going ok. I survived a coma and know all about close calls and recovery.
I'm happy that your mother has such a loving Family, Kerri. Your dragon is spectacular - it really pops against the greenery.

For some reason, I've always thought dragonflies were green...geezzz I guess they are all kinds...this is a wonderful photo!!!
I've never seen a red dragonfly - brown, blue and green, but never a red one.
Kerri, It is a male Calico Pennant. Males are always red when mature. Females and immature males are orange. Lovely photo of this little dragonfly too.
It is so good to hear that your Mother is doing well.To still be able to celebrate Easter with both parents is a true blessing.
