“It is one thing to photograph people. It is another to make others care about them by revealing the core of their humanness.” ~Paul Strand
As many of you know - I don't do "People Pictures" very well. But sometimes I get lucky. This was one of the shots from the Beret Ceremony last weekend at Fort Benning, GA where my son is at OSUT Training - which combines Basic and AIT together. After this training he goes to Airborne school. I am a very proud Mama Bear!

As a fellow person who doesn't do "people picture" photos that much, I can understand the surprise at having them turn out well. However, I am not as surprised as you are, my friend.
You have every right to be proud. Rock on, girl.
Wow. Congratulations to (both).of you! A great capture for sure....and an even more wonderful memory!
And who said you didn't do people pictures well? Just tell them to talk to me and I'll set them straight!

Each of these three young men looks deeply thoughtful.

You've captured a serious, contemplative mood wonderfully Kerri. I think you can photograph just about anything!
Wonder what was going on in his head at that moment?Wonderful capture Kerri. I know you are one proud mama. :c)
This is a wonderful photograph Kerri. You must be so proud of your boy. I hope you'll frame this moment in time.
