Frosty Leaves

“I think of the trees and how simply they let go, let fall the riches of a season, how without grief (it seems) they can let go and go deep into their roots for renewal and sleep.... Imitate the trees. Learn to lose in order to recover, and remember that nothing stays the same for long....

Step with care and great tact.

Frosted

I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields, that it kisses them so gently? And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt; and perhaps it says "Go to sleep, darlings, till the summer comes again."
 ~ Lewis Carroll

With temps at 27 degrees things were quite frosty.
It was one of those amazing mornings that even though it's cold on the outside - you are warm on the inside.
The pounding in my chest was not from the exercise,
but from this consuming emotion that seemed to take over my body .....
Thankfulness.

Frosty Blade of Grass

We say of the oak, "How grand of girth!"
Of the willow we say, "How slender!"
And yet to the soft grass clothing the earth
How slight is the praise we render.
~Edgar Fawcett
