Swallowtail Butterfly

There is so much beauty in the world, but you must allow yourself to see it.

Signs of Summer

The soil is the great connector of lives, the source and destination of all.
It is the healer and restorer and resurrector,
by which disease passes into health,
age into youth, death into life.
Without proper care for it we can have no community,
because without proper care for it
we can have no life.
Wendell Berry

Wisdom is oft-times nearer when we stoop
Than when we soar.

Saturday

A Damselfly and a "Pop it"

When I was a child, my siblings, cousins, and I would get
together at my Grandmother's farm and have
"Pop it" Wars.
Have you ever heard of a "Pop it" War?
The plant above is what we would call a "Pop it".
We would gather LOTS and LOTS of these and wrap the stems
around the bottom of the top part....and "pop" the top off and
hit each other with them. These are very small so of course
they didn't hurt...but it was TONS of FUN!

Moon in the Daytime Sky

No matter where it is in the sky... No matter where you are in the world... the moon is never bigger than your thumb.
 — Nicholas Sparks (Dear John)

I took this shot on beautiful blue sky morning.
Wishing you a Wonderful Day!
