Small Joys

Many people lose the small joys in the hope for the big happiness.

Another "almost" flight shot.  Wish it had been clearer - but I'm not giving up!

Wow! I think this is great. I've never seen one with their wings spread out. At least not where I could see the pattern.

Great shot.It seems that for me a good flight shot is more of a lucky one than any skills I may have.

I love it! The motion in the wings, the shape they make, the colour, and the fod in his mouth. Great capture!
Good quote too!

I would call that a flight shot...but almost, or completely, it is a beautiful picture! And you find the best quotes.

That's the best shot I am seen of the Red Bellied Woodpecker in flight ... if you do better than that, I can't wait to see it. But, in the event that you don't ... I would settle for this one any day. Great job!!

I dont think we should always chase sharpness for its own sake, not if it obscures movement and life.

I like this picture.

Cheers and thanks for linking to WBW- Stewart M - Melbourne

I agree with Stewart (but don't tell him). Your photograph shows a Red-bellied Woodpecker as we normally see one - in motion! Very nice work!
