The more we try to catch hold of the present moment the more elusive it becomes. It is like trying to clutch water in ones hands. The harder we grip, the more it slips through our fingers.
~ Alan Watts
One of the most elusive birds I have encountered - a Brown Creeper. They flit here and there - never in one spot very long - AND - they blend in with the trees.
They have GREAT Camo!

Always an instant uplift and with reality-
A bird in the blog is often as good as a bird in the bush.

Wonderful photo, and great quote! As ever.......
Ha, Brown Creeper, sounds like an episode of NCIS.
:>
Great catch! And I loved Wayne's comment. :)
This is what I was doing yesterday. Sitting in the sunshine (in a protected area from the wind) and taking photos of the birds. Until a hawk came by - but I caught him too. Not a great photo by any means. But I caught him. (And he caught one of the birds).
What a little cutie he is!! ;-)
What a GREAT quote...and the picture is lovely!
Love all the lichen on the branches!
Great shot! I don't think I have ever spotted one in the wild...just on my ash tree and always creeping up the tree.
Exquisite beauty!
Excellent capture of a very busy little bird! Love the quote.
Nice capture of an elusive bird.
Those Creepers are so difficult to capture Kerri. Great job!
