Turkey Vulture - Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge
His face may not be a raving beauty but those feathers ......oh, those feathers.... are amazing!
And to be so close as to hear the "WHOOSH" as they flap their wings - truly an awesome experience.

Morning at Blackwater
On our way back from visiting family in Ocean City, Maryland, we stopped by Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge. We didn't have much time to spend but I LOVED the area.
May your joys be as bright as the morning,
your years of happiness
as numerous as the stars in the heavens,
and your troubles but shadows
that fade in the sunlight of love.
~ Irish Blessing~
