In Every Walk With Nature

 - John Muir

Male goldfinch harvesting seeds from the flowers.

Our walk today was along the Huckleberry trail but in the opposite direction of our normal Hethwood walk.  We started after church so it was quite hot.
Our milage today -  1.6 miles.

A Little Stardust Caught

American Goldfinch feeds on the seeds of this wildflower - a type of thistle perhaps?

The true harvest of my life is intangible - a little star dust caught, a portion of the rainbow I have clutched.

I Just Can't Resist

Once my heart was captured,
 reason was shown the door,
deliberately and with a sort of frantic joy.
I accepted everything, I believed everything,
without struggle, without suffering, without regret, without false shame.
How can one blush for what one adores?
~ George Sand

I just can't resist trying to capture "flight" shots.  Whether it be
Nature has captured my heart!
