Close up of the tiny bell shaped petals.

“A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts.”
― Washington Irving

Dogwood Dreams

“To love means loving the unlovable.
To forgive means pardoning the unpardonable. Faith means believing the unbelievable.
Hope means hoping when
everything seems hopeless.”
― G.K. Chesterton

Redbud Blossoms

"How many million Aprils came
 before I ever knew
how white a cherry bough could be,
a bed of squills, how blue
 And many a dancing April
when life is done with me,
will lift the blue flame of the flower
and the white flame of the tree
Oh burn me with your beauty then,
oh hurt me tree and flower,
lest in the end death try to take
 even this glistening hour..." -
 Sara Teasdale

Snow on the Pear Blossoms

“Is the spring coming?" he said. "What is it like?"... "It is the sun shining on the rain and the rain falling on the sunshine...”
― Frances Hodgson Burnett, The Secret Garden

Or in this case - the snow falling on the pear blossoms! This was from our snow yesterday. We got about an inch and it was one of those that stuck to the trees well, but not so much to the roads. The best kind!
