Friends are Special (And a Giveaway)

I was asked to blog about Friendship and host a giveaway - and of course I couldn't refuse!
(The frame above is part of the giveaway)

Why are Friends Special?  This is why:
A friend knows the song in my heart and sings it to me when my memory fails.
 ~Donna Roberts

There is nothing better than a friend, unless it is a friend with chocolate.
 ― Linda Grayson

And what better way to say "Thank you for being my friend" than with a box of Chocolates
ESPECIALLY THESE  Merci Chocolates!
As you can see the box is open ..... I couldn't exactly tell you how if I liked them if I didn't try them now could I?  and like them I did .... well actually I LOVED them. Every single one was delicious.
(I did share with hubby and so I did not eat them all)
They were a perfect after dinner delight!
(a before dinner delight too)

Friends are those rare people who ask how you are and then wait for the answer.

Red-bellied Woodpecker - Female

Build a House for men and birds.
Sit with them and play music.
For a day, for just one day,
talk about that which disturbs no one
and bring some peace, my friend,
into your beautiful eyes.

Delighted

Every day I see or hear something that more or less kills me with delight, that leaves me like a needle in the haystack of light.
~ Mary Oliver

Mary Oliver is an amazing Poet!  Her words seem to reflect exactly how I feel!

The Beauty of Rain

But the true lover of rain.... has a deep inner enjoyment of the rain, as rain, and his sense of its beauty drinks it in as thirstily as does the drinking earth. It refreshes and cools his heart and brain; he longs to go forth into the fields, to feel its steady stream, to scent its fragrance; to stand under some heavy-foilaged chestnut-tree, and hear the rushing music on the crowded leaves.
~ John Richard Vernon, "The Beauty of Rain," 1863

Bluebird Curiosity

It's daring to be curious about the unknown, to dream big dreams, to live outside prescribed boxes, to take risks, and above all, daring to investigate the way we live until we discover the deepest treasured purpose of why we are here.
