Southern Drive Through Spanish Moss

“Trees down south have a difference to them, a subtle, slinking movement, mile by mile-
a gracefulness, a swagger.
Lanky trees stretching out their wiry thin,
Spanish moss-covered branches,
moss that sways and beckons ...
come here, come here, it says.”
 ― Suzanne Palmieri

The Garden Gazebo

“A garden to walk in and immensity to dream in--what more could he ask? A few flowers at his feet and above him the stars.”
― Victor Hugo

The Road Goes Ever On and On .....

Deerfield Trail - Blacksburg Virginia

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
 Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say

Recognize Your Path

You will recognize your own path when you come upon it, because you will suddenly have all the energy and imagination you will ever need.

Path Along the Huckleberry Trail

our own feet would have a
smooth even place to walk on."

Unclear Paths

“Along your pathway of life you will observe that you are not the only traveler. There are others who need your help. There are feet to steady, hands to grasp, minds to encourage, hearts to inspire, and souls to save.”
Thomas S. Monson

A shot from Bisset Park.
I'm not sure if you can tell....but there is a walking path in
the background....with leaning trees.
Probably not the best composed shot...but I liked it.

Embark!

The path to our destination is not always a straight one. We go down the wrong road, we get lost, we turn back. Maybe it doesn't matter which road we embark on. Maybe what matters is that we embark.
― Barbara Hall

Along the Blue Ridge Parkway
at the overlooks, sometimes there are paths/hiking
trails....this is one of those.

Leaning Trees Along The Path

A pathway at Bissett Park - Radford, Virginia
Looking down
the path
This is looking up the path....the trees are leaning away from the New River.
I assume they grew this way because the wind blows "off" the water
(not sure about that...just assuming)
I think they look neat the way they are leaning.
As you can see, most of the leaves have fallen.

The Way Appears

As you start to walk out on the way, the way appears.
